......bought it on Amazon from 'mike73023'.
The guy is obviously about 10 (judging by the handwriting on the envelope anyways).
Imagine my surprise when I open it to find a 'Promotional Copy:Not for Resale' message plastered over a very faded cover and a blank style disk with no manual inside....
Naturally I have mailed them to demand they send me a valid copy but I have also done the good thing and informed Amazon and THQ of the matter (with all of Mike's details).What a stupid little shite!

Did the advert selling the promotional copy state anywhere that what you were purchasing was a blank promotional case with no manual or game? If it did then erm its going to be pretty hard to get an actual copy, if he didn't however then its fraud which is a criminal offense

It was listed as:
Condition: New
Seller's comments: New and sealed
To me that says a brand new game, after all, cover is different from the one on the site that it is listed against also!
He has no leg to stand on and wether I get a refund or a real copy I can rest assured that THQ have been informed as have Amazon.
Amazon have already replied and say that they are investigating him so I went the 'extra mile' and pointed out that someone else posted feedback to say they had a promotional copy from him also.
God I love sh*t stirring

Are the Achievements easy to get on FFUOW? Or is Holy Donut just sick at getting achievements, because he already has like 900..
Should I get this game Ben? Are you? And is it worth it.
Army of Two seems like a good investment

Had a call today from THQ and a mail from Amazon last night.
Amazon say their complaint department are taking this matter extremely seriously and are willing to assist with the talsk with THQ.
They will wait and see if Mike refunds me my money this week and if not will then go through the standard money recovery processed but neither they nor I must tell him about this investigation as it could lead to legal ramifications if THQ decice to take it further.
Either way he will be banned from Amazon once I have my money returned, both as a buyer and seller.
The call from THQ was some American called Clyde (is anyone really called Clyde!?) who likewise says they are taking it extremely seriously as the promotionals are given out under a blanket or trust and when that trust is broken they, as a company, take it very personally.
They are going to speak to Amazon and see if the other Promotional he sold was a video game and likewise will be calling all people who bought games off him to see if any others were Promotionals.
If it is just the one that was theirs, a court case is not monetarily worthy but they will be fining him £500 for breach of copyright law (is a standard charge for a single item I guess).
It will all come into play when I get my money back so it should be sorted by the end of the week for me and his misery is going to go on for quite a while it seems!

Mike73023 issued me a full refund today.
Part of me wants to feel guilty about reporting him because his email was so nice nad friendly, but the other 90% of me says he has done something very underhanded by not stating it was promotional, had no manual etc etc etc.
Should I feel guilty or does he deserve what is 'coming to him'?
Times like this I wish I had my own Jimminy-Cricket!
