Ok, am two missions in so far and here is what I think so far.

Graphics: 8/10.
The graphics have been improved a tiny bit since the original Vegas game but really only in environment and level design. The draw distance is improved and generally things feel more 'grand'.
In game models are pretty much the same as are explosions etc.

Sound: 7/10
Again very much like part 1 with the exception of the voice acting that sounds a little less impressive or well done this time round, but only in places, not overall.

Gameplay: 9/10
Now I am only 2 levels in and haven't touched the MP yet but I can advise all the old favourites are there with a few additions.
The structure has not changed, choose face, facial hair and sex.
Then assign weapons and armour and customise as usual.
So it all pretty much plays the same apart form the level up and reward system.
You now gain XP for each and every kill you get in real-time so a kill gives +1 xp and you have a 'Current' vs 'Next rank' annotation on the HUD now.
They have also adopted the COD4 rank system whereby you have (for instance) Marksmanship A.C.E.S where you gain +1 point for a Headshot, range kill, close kill etc and when you hit the required number of points it levels up and you get a large number of XP.
Works pretty well as a tried and tested thing I think. So yep, it aint a huge step away from part 1 but it is as good as, if not better than, the original and so more of the same damned good fun with SP, COOP, Terrorist Hunt and other modes.
More to come when I do some MP Smile

Overall thus far - 9/10
A definite purchase for all fans of the original.

Omg this game is hard Smile
Playing on n00b difficulty and getting owned all the time.
Think I may be kinda outta practice Sad
Love the new xp system though, you even get the xp for THunt and all other modes. And even if you die you retain the xp you gained since last checkpoint!

I still think the character models are no better than part 1 but the environments are much better and the weapons also look nicer.
To be honest though it has been about 8 months since I played it so can't really be sure Smile
Oh and the weapon list is now somewhat bigger and more needs unlocking before it can be used (such as UMP45 and the Shield).

Yeah, the character models look a lot nicer, and you can make your guy look pretty cool on this one. Whereas in Vegas 1 you looked like a camp terrorist.
